John Dent was born February  13, 1755 in Loudoun County VA and died September  20, 1840 in Monongalia County VA. He was buried in September 1840 in Old Zoar Cemetery, Monongalia County VA.  John married Margaret Evans, daughter of  Colonel John and Rebecca (Martin) Evans on June 13, 1780 in Charles County MD.  Margaret was born December 7,  1763 in Loudoun County VA and  died November  23, 1851 in Dent's Run, Monongalia County and was buried November 26, 1851 in  Old Zoar Cemetery, Monongalia County.
